Timothee Chalamet Portrait
Colored Pencil on Paper - 9”x12”
The goal of this piece was to explore color in the context of realistic portraits created with pencil. It was my first time using colored pencils to achieve a realistic portrait, and I wanted to approach it with creativity. To avoid being too dependent on the reference photo, I used a black-and-white image as my reference. I believe that sometimes we can become too constrained by the reference, and I wanted to break free from that and make the piece my own.
